Today (March 4)
A special Swiss gourmet feast will be available until Saturday at the Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain’s Silk restaurant in Muharraq. It includes classic Gruyere and Vacherin cheese melted in a white grape beverage. There is also Fondue Bourguignon served with beef cubes and a wide range of other fondues.

The menu costs BD15++ per person and is available from 7pm.

A ‘Berber Women of Morocco’ exhibition is being held at the Bahrain National Museum, Manama, until April 15 as part of the 2015 ‘Year of Heritage’ festivities. It is open from 8am-8pm.

Tomorrow (March 5)
Bahrain Noor El Ain will conclude its first year with a bazaar, to be held today and tomorrow at the Amwaj Lagoon in Amwaj Islands. The event will feature a night market, a ‘shop and win’ prize draw and final winners’ presentation, and sampler plates from the Lagoon’s wide variety of cafes and restaurants.

Diana King will be performing at Ibrida Lounge, Ramee Grand Hotel & Spa, Seef, at 9pm. Tickets cost BD15 if bought pre-sale, and BD20 on the door.

The Royal Country Club’s Family Movie Night takes place in the gardens from 6pm. All are welcome to attend and entry is free.

The Ramee Grand Hotel & Spa, Seef, hosts a Seafood Night at its Lemon Tree restaurant. On offer are lobsters, shrimps, octopuses and more. The cost is BD14++ for adults.

The restaurant is also hosting special lunch buffet specials at BD9 net, inclusive of soft drinks, from Sunday to Thursday from 12.30pm-3.30pm.

Friday (March 6)
Tony the Dogfather is holding a Charity Yard Sale in Saar from noon to 4pm. On sale will be furniture, ornaments, household goods, electronic products and books. Food and refreshments will be available.

The Royal Golf Club’s Links Friday Carvery Brunch features live cooking stations, traditional carved meats, desserts and more.

The buffet includes dishes from around the world, including Middle Eastern favourites, plus live cooking stations and entertainment. There are also activities provided for children. Saturday (March 7)
The Bahrain Farmers’ Market is being held at the Botanical Gardens, Budaiya, from 8am until noon.

The Reading Writer’s BookClub will meet at the Words BookstoreCafe, Budaiya, from 4.30pm-6pm, hosted by Krystall Fierens-Lee. The event costs BD5.

Attendees will not only enjoy the tale – this week’s choice is The Tiger’s Wife by Tea Obrecht - but examine the writing craft behind it and complete a short optional writing exercise.

Sunday (March 8)
Saudi artist Faisal Samra is hosting an exhibition entitled ‘Global Warming’ at the Bin Matar House in Muharraq. It will open at 7pm and runs until April 26.

The 19th Middle East Oil & Gas Show and Conference (MEOS 2015) will be held from today until March 11 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Sanabis. Around 8,000 oil and gas professionals will gather to debate and discuss this year’s conference theme: ‘Energy beyond limits through innovation and collaboration.’

The Lost Paradise of Dilmun (LPOD) Water Park in Al Areen has reopened for its eighth season with a splash and dance festival and a ribbon-cutting ceremony in partnership with the Royal Charity Organisation.

Yusuf Abdulla Yusuf Al Yaqoob, assistant secretary general for Planning & Charity Resources Development, along with RCO officials, LPOD’s management team headed by general manager Pierre Vasseur, guests and media representatives attended this week’s event.

The kick-off was celebrated through a March-themed Colour Festival where guests were entertained by Bhagnra & Dhol musicians and Bollywood dancers. The opening event also helped launch the waterpark’s corporate social responsibility campaign entitled ‘Fun is for Everyone!’ The aim is for everyone to experience joy and happiness, even when facing challenging circumstances.

“Allowing us to host the children of RCO in the waterpark was indeed a humbling experience,” said Cristina Fulgencio, senior PR & marketing manager at LPOD. “This is a special place where you can lose yourself and create unforgettable moments.” The waterpark has 18 slides and fun-filled attractions. The facility also features private family cabanas and lockers, plus a wide variety of food and beverages. For corporate or groups, new team-building packages are available and a newly-built conference room has opened.

The legendary Canadian crooner Michael Bublé will be bringing his smooth vocals and Grammy Award-winning To Be Loved World Tour to Dubai on March 12 and 13.

Grammy award-winning hip-hop sensation, Drake, will be bringing his ‘Would You like a Tour?’ show to the UAE on March 14.

Special Olympics International MENA region adviser Shaikh Duaij Khalifa bin Duaij Al Khalifa will be honoured by the Syro-Malabar Society (Syms) Bahrain with its ‘Work of Mercy Award’. Head of the Syro-Malabar Congregation Worldwide, Cardinal Mar George Alencherry, will present the award to Shaikh Duaij Khalifa during a ceremony at the Kingdom Hall of the New Millennium School tomorrow at 8pm.

Bahrain is set to celebrate India’s largest spring festival, Holi, with a colourful splash on Friday. Out of the Box, an events company, is organising a grand colourful festival called ‘Rangeela Holi’ at Lost Paradise of Dilmun Water Park in Al Areen.

Ticket prices for adults are priced as follows:
SILVER - BD10 (includes entry, colour party and all park rides).
GOLD - BD20 (includes entry, colour party, snacks and beverages and all park rides).
