The Indian Club May Queen Ball 2015 will take place at the club premises in Gudaibiya. The pageant will feature 16 women, aged 18 to 26, competing for the title, combined with music and dance routines from Bollywood troupes and fusion dancers.

The four rounds of competition will be composed by leading choreographer Kevin D’Cunha with the winner taking away a crown, $750 (BD283), a diamond ring, a return airline ticket to India, electronic gifts as well as gift hampers and more.

The Bahrain International Circuit, Sakhir, is hosting its final Open Track Night of the season. Participants will be able to drive their own cars or motorbikes along the Grand Prix track.

St Christopher’s Cathedral will hold a service at 6.15pm to remember and give thanks for the life of one of the 20th century’s most notable and influential Christian theologians – Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who was executed for his opposition to Hitler at a concentration camp in Flossenburg, Germany in April 1945, just three weeks before Hitler committed suicide. Bonhoeffer was a convinced pacifist but realised that this was an inadequate response to the evils that his country faced. He wrote many letters to family and friends from prison as well as many other papers. The service will draw on these and other sources.

FootGolf will be held at the Royal Golf Club every Sunday evening throughout May. This fast-growing sports craze combines the two sports where players must kick a football into giant sized cups on a golf course in as few shots as possible. The competitions kick off at 7pm and are open to all.

New fitness and leisure activities have been launched for both ladies and children at the Royal Golf Club’s country club on Monday nights.
There are Baby Clay, Baby Sensory, Little Rhymes and Bricks for Kidz classes while older children can enjoy basketball, football, mixed martial arts, swimming classes and ballet. Ladies can now sign up for new Hatha Yoga, Odaka Yoga, Kangoo Jump or Belly Dancing classes.
