Gulf International Bank is preparing to host its ‘Ayadi Al Amal’ Art Exhibition at its offices in Manama. The exhibition will showcase paintings created by the children from the Bahrain Down Syndrome Society Centre.

All sales of the work and donations will help the charity. An official inauguration will take place at 9.30am.

An exhibition titled ‘Abstraction-In-Mind’ is taking place at Akkas Gallery in Saar until Monday and features a collection of painting knife works in oil on canvas by Amal Deyhle.

The gallery is open from 10am-1pm and from 4pm-8pm.

Bahrain Financial Harbour is continuing its ‘Art at The Harbour’ series, in which artists are given the opportunity to exhibit their artwork at Harbour Tower West for one month and then Harbour Tower East for another month.

Indian expat Sumana Malakar’s ‘Faces & Horses’ exhibition will open at 3pm.

Sunday (September 25)
Al Riwaq Art Space is hosting a solo exhibition of Latifa Al Shakar’s work, titled ‘Memoirs of Damascus’. Through her photography series, the artist captures an image of Damascus that has been forgotten and over-shadowed by images of war - not of rockets filling the air, but of flocks of beautiful free birds painting the blue sky.

Proceeds of this exhibition will be forwarded to the charity Alphabet Alternative Education, which aids the Syrian crisis by creating initiatives to improve literacy among children.

The opening takes place at 7pm.

Monday (September 26)
The 10th Middle East Refining and Petrochemicals Conference and Exhibition will take place until September 29 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre in Sanabis.

Tuesday (September 27)
