Luxury menswear designer, Raghavendra Rathore – the cousin of Maharaja Gaj Singh of Jodhpur – is known for injecting equestrian designs into his collections with both a rural craftsmanship and a modern aesthetic.

As a member of the Jodhpur royal family, Raghavendra’s brand uses Polo as its central focus which gives the designs a particular historical and cultural significance to Rajasthan, the birth place of the formalised modern Polo game. From India, the game polo then spread as fast as its enthusiasts could travel.

“Polo is a heritage sport that has been here for centuries now,” the designer said. “I have tried to incorporate every possible thing to make it an innovative line that will go very well with the theme.”

The riding breeches and jacket are among the specialities of the brand which has given a certain ‘sport of kings’ charm to the fashion industry and are recognised as international iconic fashion pieces.

The designer began his career assisting Oscar de la Renta and Donna Karen in New York, before launching his own label originally within India before expansion to the UK this year.

The label is loaded with more than 1,400 years of regal Jodhpur heritage scattered with contemporary design that is clean, smart and tailored by using the finest of materials. The atelier also offers a monogramming service to add a personalised touch.
