Think Pink Bahrain is staging a variety of
activities around the kingdom in an effort to raise awareness about breast
cancer and raise funds for its charitable endeavours.
Art Rotana Hotel will be hosting a Pink
Friday Brunch at Choices restaurant and 10 per cent of the price of all brunch
tickets sold will be donated to the charity.

The Royal Golf Club (RGC) will donate a
dinar from every green fee. Walking Wednesday, where players walk for nine
holes instead of jumping in a cart will also be held at the RGC today. After 6pm, BD2 will be donated from every
green fee.
The club will also donate a dinar from
every green fee on Friday and Saturday as well as on October 28 and 29.
The RGC will also have a Think Pink ‘selfie
station’ operating throughout the month.

On Friday, the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain
Bay will be staging a Pink Brunch at the Bahrain Bay Kitchen, priced at BD27++
including soft drinks and BD37++ with selected beverages.
The Four Seasons Pink Boutique will also be
offering pink macaroons and roses at the Lobby Alcove. The Bay View Lounge will
stage a Pink High Tea with a View. One set of afternoon tea-for-two costs
BD15++ and two sets for four is priced at BD28++. This is available daily from
3pm to 6pm.
The Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay is also
offering a 120-minute Air Essence (Anhata) spa treatment for the month of

On Saturday, Saar Mall is staging a One
Pink Link charity event from 4pm to 10pm to raise funds for the Bahrain Breast
Cancer Society and Think Pink Bahrain. Medical professionals will be on hand to
spread awareness.
Dr Fatima Al-Balooshi, a former minister,
educator, founder and CEO of Capacitee Employment Solutions and White Palm
Consultants will be a guest speaker. There will also be food stalls, a
chocolate fountain and other activities, including a raffle.
This event was possible through the help of
their partners including Bahrain Cancer Society, Think Pink Bahrain and Grace

The Think Pink campaign will end on
November 4 with a family-fun Pink Paddle Day at Amwaj Islands hosted by Paddle
Bahrain. Wear your best pink outfit and paddle in groups to create a sea of
pink at Palm Beach Amwaj Marina.
Paddle boarding will be priced BD5 per
person, with 100 per cent of the funds raised donated to Think Pink and
exciting prizes for the best pink costumes.
The charity event will start at 10am until
sunset. There will also be a Pink Market with different stalls selling
clothing, beach products and other goodies. There are limited stalls available
for vendors that are interested priced at BD20, which will be donated fully to
Think Pink.
The main event is sponsored by Bare
Chocolates and Gypsea Watersports and entry tickets for adult cost BD2 while
children enter for free. There will also be plenty of competitions on the day
and a special chocolate tasting stand.

American Mission Hospital (AMH) is offering
special packages during Breast Cancer Awareness month as part of its on-going
community activities.
The hospital has been offering the
promotion for the past 15 years and it is available at clinics in Saar and
Amwaj Islands and the Manama hospital.
Women over the age of 40 in particular are
urged to get checked as early detection offers the best chance of successful
treatment
This year the hospital is offering a
laboratory package which provides a complete blood count and includes checking
blood sugar, calcium, Urea and Creatinine, electrolytes, CEA and CA 15-3.
Laboratory packages or blood tests data can
also highlight the susceptibility of a patient getting breast cancer and can
also be used to monitor responses to treatment.
The laboratory package costs BD25 and the
mammogram and ultrasound is priced at BD40.
