Loved the track action this year at Sakhir but I was a bit disappointed about the evening concert line-ups.

Granted, Santana’s band played awesomely on Friday night but the Latin numbers at the end of his show were a bit too reminescent to last year’s Enrique Iglesias offering, in my opinion. Is the person booking the acts a fan of Spanish pop by any chance?

As for Saturday night’s offering of Benjamin Booker and Disclosure, never heard of them! We headed back home from the circuit like many others before they took to the stage.

Sunday’s race drama made up for it though.

I’m totally fed up of receiving bogus calls, texts and emails from people letting me know I’ve won a major prize in competitions I’ve never entered. I remember by granddad’s old saying: ‘you don’t get owt for nowt’.

Just ignore them and whatever you do, do not share your bank details or CPR number with these tech age robbers.

Congratulations to the Bahrain Rugby Football Club on the stunning West Asia Cup triumph. It was a joy to be a part of the Red Wall cheering on the lads. Great before and after match coverage in GulfWeekly too.
