Lulu Hypermarket will be launching its Beautiful Britain Festival today with a grand opening at its branch in Juffair Mall offering shoppers special deals on its range of unique UK delights.
The retail giant, which is offering a selection of special imported goods in all of its outlets across the kingdom, will inaugurate the festivities with British ambassador Simon Martin cutting a cake.
Products including fresh meat, fish, cheese, bread and fruits and vegetables have been flown in to fill the aisles and the promotion period will run until April 18.
“We stage this festival annually to showcase UK products for our shoppers. We have our own sourcing company in the UK called Y International that regularly provides us with popular products.
“This year we have added a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables and a great bakery line, as well as dairy items. Our kitchen will also be producing traditional British dishes for people to enjoy during the festivities.
“Also, you can easily whip up a traditional meal such as fish ’n’ chips or a sumptuous Sunday roast by choosing from the fine ingredients offered in both the hot and cold food sections.”
The stores will also put up kiosks offering patrons product samples highlighted with a Union Jack symbol. Items available will include popular brands like Lovemore, Ainsley, Jamie Oliver, Schwartz, Whitworth’s and Thornton’s.
Shoppers can snap up a selection of lemon curd cookies, preserves, custards, crisps, condiments and milk products as well as a range of organic foods, coffee, chocolates and Rowse honey. There will be cleaning and other household items available too.
