Toyota has proven itself as a manufacturer for many demographics over the years, but it’s the luxury, premium sector that is receiving a boost with the launch of the new 2019 Avalon.
Ebrahim K Kanoo, the kingdom’s distributor of the Japanese marque, unveiled the sleek sedan at its showroom in Sitra on Saturday with a starting price of BD12,700.
Randy Stephens, chief engineer of the model, said: “Throughout development, we focussed on the new Avalon being authentic and exhilarating.”
Since its debut in 1994 and evolution over four generations, the Toyota Avalon has been embraced by drivers both in the Middle East and globally – with total sales surpassing 1.5 million.
The new model’s cabin features an enhanced in-vehicle nine-inch multimedia display, a 10-inch coloured and adjustable head-up display (HUD), wireless charging system for smartphones, ambient illumination, dual-zone automatic air conditioning system, 14-speaker JBL surround sound system, multi-adjustable power and ventilated front seats, as well as 60:40 split folding rear seats.
