Swiss watchmaker, Oris, marks its partnership and support of the pioneering men’s mental health charity Movember with a special edition Chronoris.

The brand is backing the campaign for better men’s health by teaming up with New York Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone. Their mission is to bring change for the better this autumn.

Movember, which was founded in 2003, has grown rapidly over the years. Experts calculate that prostate cancer rates will double in the next 15 years, while testicular cancer rates have doubled in the last 50. Each year, more than 500,000 men die by suicide around the world, meaning men account for three quarters of all suicides. Globally, suicide is the second leading cause of death among 15 to 29-year-old men.

Movember has now supported more than 1,250 projects around the world that address these issues and Oris will donate part of the proceeds from their Movember Edition for the cause.

The watch features a dial black with rose gold-plated hour and minutes hands, orange seconds hand and white indices Luminous Material Hands printed with Super-LumiNova. There is a top glass sapphire, domed on both sides and with anti-reflective coating on the inside. The case back is stainless steel with special engravings. There is also a steel crown at 2 o’clock for setting time and winding and a second crown at 4 o’clock for adjusting inner rotating bezel. The bracelet is available in two different sets with either a brown leather strap with stainless steel buckle or a stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp. It’s also water resistant by 100m.
