Bahrain’s first international horse race

Bahrain’s first international horse race, the Bahrain International Trophy, takes place this Friday at Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club in Sakhir, with the participation of various owners, trainers and horses from around the world. Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club’s Executive Director, Shaikh Salman bin Rashid Al Khalifa, said, “Hosting an international horserace for the very first time in Bahrain is an unprecedented achievement in the history of Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club. It can be of great benefit to the sport and to the Kingdom of Bahrain as a whole, as it highlights the country’s excellent standing in this field.” There are six preliminary races planned for the afternoon starting at 2pm, with prizes ranging from BD3000 to BD7000. The race for the Bahrain International Trophy will be at 4:35pm.
