AS Bahrain races to become the financial capital of the Middle East an enterprising training scheme that aims to create ‘tomorrow’s financial leaders today’ is taking place in the kingdom.  

BY year end, the kingdom’s access to global information, communications and entertainment will be ahead of numerous international markets and Bahrain will continue to lead the region in broadband technology, among other new era communications tools, according to Batelco’s chief executive Peter Kaliaropoulos.

International Automotive Paint re-finishing Company – who chose Bahrain as the base for its Middle East, India and Pakistan operations – announced the appointment of Abdulla Yousif Fakhro and Sons (AYFS) as their partners to manage the regional hub for OMIA paint and refinishing products for the Middle East, India and Pakistan. 

Oil prices at stratospheric levels may mean more affluence for crude producing nations, but paradoxically not better living conditions for the population mix.
