An 18-member strong cricket squad selected by Bahrain Cricket Club (BCC) for the 23rd RBSC International Cricket Sixes is due to leave next Monday for Bangkok, Thailand.
All matches will be played at the picturesque and test standard turf wickets of the Royal Bangkok Sports Club and the Polo Club from Thursday, March 29 to Sunday, April 1. Great names in test cricket and a host of other current and ex-test stars are taking part in the tournament in Bangkok. This is one competition where cricketers of all levels mingle and compete for the love of “the glorious game of cricket,” a spokesman said. The two teams representing the kingdom are Bahrain A and B. Thirty two teams are expected to participate in the prestigious tournament which includes representatives from Australia, India, Pakistan, Singapore and Qatar as well as some local teams at the elite private-membership club in the heart of Bangkok. Bahrain A and B teams are also planning to play a couple of practice matches in Phuket, Koh Chang and Pattaya. Following are the members selected to represent the Bahrain A and B team: 1.
