• World-class DJ Tiesto will make his debut on the island at the Marina Club.
DJ Tiesto from Holland is claimed to be the first in the world to sell out a solo stadium event for over 25,000 people two nights in a row. • The Karnataka Social Club in Manama will hold a beauty contest - the July Rose beauty contest at the Papillon Restaurant banquet hall. Prizes and consolation gifts will be rewards to winners and participants. A live band will entertain guests throughout the event, as well as a buffet. • Multi-platinum and Grammy award winner, Lauryn Hill will perform at the third Life Music Festival event today at the MPV – the indoor Madinat Arena, Madinat Jumeirah. Lauryn is a former member of chart-toppers The Fugees. The festival will also feature Karl Wolf, Danny Neville and DJ Bliss. Doors of the festival will open at 7pm. • A night of ‘naughty doctors and nurses’ at the Rock Bottom Café at the Ramee International Hotel in Juffair.
