Hard Rock International is bringing its first ‘Ambassadors of Rock Tour’ to the Middle East with P!nk this September 5 at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai.
P!NK moved away from her urban and R&B roots on the very successful album M!ssundaztood, a harder-edged album, which featured several tracks written and produced by former ‘4 Non Blondes’ leader Linda Perry. The album repeated the commercial success of her debut, and featured the singles, ‘Get The Party Started’ and ‘Just Like A Pill’, which reached Top 5 in the US. With the 2006 release of ‘I’m Not Dead’ and the hit ‘Stupid Girls’, P!NK climbed higher on the music charts worldwide. Doors open by 6pm and the show starts at 10pm. A multi-cultural group of women are preparing to highlight the catwalk on July 26 for the July Rose Beauty Contest that will be held at the Baen Saeng Thai Auditorium in Adliya.
The show will be celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. Twelve participants have signed up so far and registration is still open. All contestants will be trained by choreographer, Albert Gayo. He will discuss the mechanics of proper grooming that includes ramp modeling, hair and make-up, fashion sense, video and photo shoot, public speaking and other things related to personality development. A Latin and standard ballroom dancing competition is being organised at the Sampaguita Club in Moon Plaza Hotel in Umm Al Hassan. The grand finale is planned for September.
Daily training classes by professional instructors will be held at the club from 7pm onwards. The contest will have three styles of dancing namely – samba, rumba and the cha cha cha.

Hed Kandi returns to BJs on July 19 serving up a feast of disco house and vocal classics with Hed Kandi DJ Jamie Richardson.
Jamie has been spinning with the lifestyle clubbing brand across the UK and internationally for over four years now. His works include “Beach House”, “Disco Heaven” and “Twisted Disco”.
He has also appeared on a number of shows on independent radio stations in London with his own mix sessions.
Entry is at BD8 for non-members before midnight and BD10 after. Ladies get free entry all night. Doors open at 9pm for the warm up session with The Motive and DJ Salime.
