Return of the class act

ONE of Bahrain’s favourite teachers is coming out of retirement to open up her own school in Saar.

Sandra Whitford, lovingly known as Sandy, will launch The British Preparatory School in November.

Mrs Whitford retired as the head teacher of St Christopher’s Infant School in Awali and Budaiya in July 2005.

She said: “I don’t have children of my own but I have been surrounded by thousands all my life. My school will be built on the foundations of my experiences.”
