Golfing legend Colin Montgomerie will be in Bahrain on November 26 to review the progress of his Signature golf course at Riffa Views.
Since his last visit in January a lot has happened on site with the construction contractor BGD Nass making excellent progress.
While here, Mr Montgomerie, affectionately known as Monty, will spend a great deal of time with chief architect Robin Hiseman of European Golf Design.
Mr Hiseman has been implementing and directing Monty's design philosophies on site in order to ensure that all aspects of the design are translated correctly on the golf course itself.
Monty, an eight-time European order of merit winner, has an exact eye for detail as you would expect from a world-class sportsman. Holes four, five, six and seven of the championship course as well as the driving range have all been grassed.
During Monty's visit he and Mr Hiseman are expected to sign off holes three and eight for grassing and holes one, two and nine for preparation for grassing.
This will see the entire front nine holes grassed and growing in by the end of the year.
During his site visit Monty will review the finished works and give his input into the detailed shaping that is taking place on the back nine.
He will also take time to test out certain shots on the course to make sure the holes play in reality in the same way that he envisioned them to play whilst plotting the course on paper.
Monty will also visit the newly opened Riffa Views Golf & Leisure shop in the Country Mall, Budaiya where he will hit the opening shot on his golf course, albeit a simulated course.
Riffa View has commissioned the simulation of the new Colin Montgomerie-designed Riffa Views course and Monty is keen to try it out.
In addition to Montgomerie's Championship golf course, Riffa Views will also feature a nine hole, par three academy course, a modern golf academy, an extended and refurbished club house as well as an adjoining country club.
