Batelco launched its next Mobile Generation network and products on Bahrain's National Day, the Kingdom's leading integrated communications provider announced at a Press conference at the Regency Intercontinental.
This move means that Batelco's customers will have access to the fastest mobile broadband service available in the Kingdom, giving both Batelco, and its mobile subscribers, the competitive advantage when it comes to swift mobile communications, according to Batelco chief executive Peter Kaliaropoulos.
Batelco's 3.5G 'portfolio' includes Mobile Broadband, Video Calling and a new mobile portal with a wide range of exciting content targeting all segments in Bahrain.
"Batelco has delivered to its customers in Bahrain a greater variety of mobile, Internet and voice offerings in 2007 than ever before. Now, the launch of 3.5G rounds off the year in spectacular fashion," said Mr Kaliaropoulos.
He explained that Batelco has dubbed the 3.5G products as a family of 'O' services.
"We have chosen 'O' because 'Ohhh' is recognised as the 'global' sound of surprise and admiration, whatever the native language, and as Batelco's O portfolio enables global communication, faster, easier and across a variety of channels, 'O' fits perfectly," enthused Mr Kaliaropoulos.
The mobile broadband service means wireless broadband mobility with superior speeds boosting Batelco's extensive line-up of world-class products and services.
