EVERYTHING sparkles on a new set of traditional clothing which is likely to brighten up Bahrain following the arrival of a new boutique.

Zumorrod Boutique was opened at Seef Mall by the Prime Minister's sister Shaikha Thajba bint Salman Al Khalifa.

The opening was held under the patronage of Municipalities and Agriculture Minister Mansoor Bin Rajab who also was present at the event.

Lebanese singer Sabah also attended the opening along with other members of the Royal Family as well as guests.

A fashion show unveiling Zumorrod's 2007 autumn winter 'Crystal Nights' collection made with crystallized Swarovski elements was also held.

Boutique general manager Amal Mansoor Al Ramadan designed the collection of abayas and jalabiyas displayed during the show.

They illustrate the extent of how high quality sparkles can add glamour and individuality to traditional clothing.

The designer and cystal producers say the added shine still "honours the Gulf's heritage and tradition".

This year's Crystal Nights collection showed new methods and techniques of using crystal as an integral part of the design process.

Swarvoski Middle East managing director Werner Baumgartner said: "It is a pleasure to collaborate with such a highly-regarded and talented partner as Zumorrod who understands the Khaleeji female consumer and successfully interprets their style and intuition through their fabulous collections without having to sacrifice their cultural backgrounds."

Money raised from the event will go towards supporting activities of the Children and Mother's Welfare Society.
