The K Hotel in Juffair will become the country's latest competitor in the kingdom's growing hospitality sector when it opens in September.
The four-star property will be operated by the Gulf Hotels Group. Its cost has not been revealed.
It will have 22 floors featuring 156 spacious rooms, 78 suites, as well as luxurious two-bedroom Prince and Princess suites on the rooftop.
Details about the hotel were unveiled at the Arabian Travel Market expo which opened in Dubai yesterday.
Newly-appointed general manager Neman Abdallah told Business Weekly: "The 'crowning glory' of the concept will be the four-bedroom penthouse. The King Suite, which will have a swimming pool and an exclusive elevator - it will be unique. The K Hotel will have five-star facilities with four-star rates."
Mr Abdallah, 54, from Manama, explained that once fully-functional the hotel will employ around 200 staff.
He said: "The K Hotel will be an ideal destination for leisure and business people.
"Corporate clients will find the best place to stay with all the facilities they need to ensure their stay in Bahrain is successful.
"Visitors will be in the heart of the tourist area and guides will be on hand to show them around. They will be able to enjoy their stay to the maximum. We are very optimistic about receiving positive responses from our guests."
French, originally from Lebanon, Mr Abdallah has been on the island for four years and joined the Gulf Hotels Group on March 1. He boasts extensive experience of 35 years in the hospitality sector.
The K Hotel will feature three dining outlets. 'Klouds' is an all-day dining room serving international breakfast and lunch buffet and will be converted to a steak house in the evenings.
An Asian restaurant 'Mo-Kan' will serve a range of delicacies including dim sum and noodles and will be located on the ground floor. Next to it will be the 'Kasbah Lounge' offering live entertainment.
European snacks will be available at The Terrace, a bistro-styled restaurant on the first floor with indoor and outdoor dining overlooking a landscaped garden and two swimming pools.
The K Hotel will also feature five meeting rooms that can accommodate between 10 and 170 people, a recreation club featuring fitness centre, sauna, steam and Jacuzzi, a 24-hours room service and a business centre..
