ONE of the region's leading property expos will feature a new promotional look and campaign as it plans to attract even more investors into the kingdom.

Renamed as 'BIPEX - International Property Exhibition Bahrain - help build the future habitat' the event will be represented with a new logo and related branding materials with a simple message of 'let's go there!'

BIPEX 2010 takes place from November 11 to 13 at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre in Sanabis and is organised by the Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE).

Chairman of the event's organising committee, Mohammed Khalil Al Sayed, said: "The new identity has been unveiled at a very opportune moment and will serve as a beacon of hope that signifies the resurgence of the property sector in Bahrain and the GCC, following the gloom that enveloped it in the wake of the global economic crisis.

"We are extremely proud of this new brand image and are confident it will generate greater global awareness of BIPEX, propelling it to even greater heights."

A Majeed Al Qassab, BSE president, said: "The new name and logo reflect the spirit of times signifying the expanded market capabilities and expertise that BIPEX has acquired through the seven years since its inception."

Vahid Mehrinfar, founder and executive principal of the new image creators, Vahid Associates, explained that with the re-branding, property developers could make use of the exhibition as a platform to interact and explain their projects to visitors who wish to deal with long-term investments on the island.

He said: "There are two types of people in real estate. One who understand the industry and invest in it for its community aspects and the second who solely invest for commercial purposes.

"The new motto for BIPEX is 'Let's go there!' and our aim is to make the exhibition not just a commercial proposition but also one for people to enjoy and at the same time learn more about Bahrain. We can help make a difference in the region with these activities."

Last year the event attracted 70 exhibitors and around 12,000 visitors. This year, with the re-branding programme, organisers are hoping to achieve a similar, if not a higher, response.

The exhibition will be held under the patronage of Prime Minister's Court Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa will be open from 10am to 9pm on all three days. Admission is free.
