Delivering food that is checked for quality and taste to an international group of visiting guests presents unique challenges to the most experienced of companies.

Al Safir Hotel and Tower, an established corporate caterer and recent entrant into industrial and hospital catering, proved its credentials by successfully supplying 4,500 meals a day during the six days of the International Children's Games held at Bahrain University in Sakhir.

Food and beverage manager K C Rajesh said: "Catering on a large scale to corporate bodies as well as institutions in their cafeteria or specified locations involves a great logistic challenge as the entire catering is off premises.

"We are delighted with the success story that was executed between June 28 and July 3 after Al Safir Hotel and Tower was selected to cater for the International Children's Games. It was a show of fantastic team work as well as efficient co-ordination under the supervision of executive chef Jude Jayasekara and managing director Hameed Al Halwachi."

The company is an ISO certified hotel that applies and strictly monitors ISO 22000:2005 principles in every off-premises catering taken up by the company with quality control manager Tapan Ghimire instrumental in monitoring the entire food safety of the catering process. Serving safe food and undertaking safe food practices is a commitment made by the organisation.
