Wednesday (July 6)

An American documentary showcase workshop will be held today and Tuesday from 6pm to 9pm and on July 13 at 9pm at the Al Riwaq Art Space in Adliya. Organised in co-ordination with the American Embassy, the three-day film-makers lab will focus on the development of a documentary. The workshop is available to all filmmakers residing in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia with proposals to produce a documentary film. Space is limited to 12 people. The lectures will be presented by Haifaa Al Mansour, Lois Vossen and Leo Chiang. Entry to the workshop is free.

The Bahrain Cinema Club will be showcasing the 2001 Juan José Campanella movie Son of the Bride. It’s a story of a young man whose life changes after having a heart attack. Doors open at 7pm.

Thursday (July 7)

Bushido presents Little Buddha 4, featuring the entertaining, energetic ethno house mixes of DJ Popat and DJ Dara Singh.

Doors open at 9pm with free entry for ladies. Tickets cost BD10 for gents after 10pm.
