Pirates have dropped anchor at the Lost Paradise of Dilmun Water Park (LPOD) until November 16 aiming to thrill the crowds with their swash-buckling sword displays, acrobatic skills, dancing, pyrotechnics and high dives. Al Riwaq Art Space’s Outdoor Market 338 is showcasing creative and artistic products every fortnight until December 16. Artistic items and handicrafts donated by a group of artists will be offered for sale with proceeds helping the Bahrain Cancer Society. The Bahrain Triathlon Challenge will host the Olympic Triathlon today featuring a 1.5km swim, 40km bike and 10km run. There will also be a Sprint Triathlon featuring a 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run, a Try-a-Tri featuring 300m swim, 10km bike and 3km run and a 5km walkathon.
On December 12, there will be a Half Ironman Triathlon featuring a 1.9km swim, 90km bike and 21.1km run, a Sprint Triathlon featuring 750m swim, 20km bike and 5km run, Try-a-Tri featuring a 300m swim, 10km bike and 3km run and a 5km walkathon.

Entry fee is BD15 per athlete over 16 years and BD20 for a team, BD8 per athlete for juniors aged 12 to 15 and BD12 per team and BD2 for walkers aged 12 and above. The Manama Theatre Club will present a production of British sitcom Fawlty Towers at the British Club in Adliya from tonight until November 18. French Week 2011 will be staged from November 16 to 22 with a range of activities across Bahrain. The Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir will host National Racing Festivals on the weekends of November 19 and December 23 with a season finale scheduled for February 11, 2012.

A photographic exploration of Muharraq at the turn of the 21st Century will be held from December 11 to 24 at the Bin Matar House in Muharraq. It is the outcome of a two-month long photography workshop organised by the Shaikh Ebrahim Center and presents the individual projects of 10 photographers from Bahrain and the region including GulfWeekly’s Anasuya Kesavan, Asma Jassim Murad, Deborah Allen, Eman Ali, Ghassan Chemali, Haya Isa Al Khalifa, Malek Nass, Mark Anthony Sarmiento, Marwa Rashid Al Khalifa and Rasha Yousif.
