The Faldo Series has announced its largest ever field for the 16th Europe Grand Final which teed off yesterday in Northern Ireland and finishes tomorrow. A total of 89 golfers from 19 countries have joined Sir Nick Faldo at Lough Erne Resort, including four winners from the 2012 Asia Grand Final in China.

"The 2012 Europe Grand Final is a wonderful climax to a record year that has seen the Series visit 14 countries across the UK, mainland Europe, the Middle East (including Bahrain) and South America," said Faldo. "With our Asia Grand Final winners also taking part, I’m looking forward to passing on my experience to our largest ever field."

Competing from Asia are Japan’s Kohei Kinoshita, 17, and Mai Arai, 20. They have been joined by Singapore’s Joshua Ho, 18, and Nur Durriyah Damian, 17, of Malaysia.

Competitors aged 12 to 21 are contesting for the Europe Grand Final title over 54 holes on the Faldo-designed course at Lough Erne Resort. The six-time Major winner will arrange for the leading boy and girl overall to play in a professional Tour event.
