Kick Ass actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson has reportedly been offered the lead in Gareth Edwards’ upcoming remake of the beloved Godzilla franchise.
The film is based on the iconic Japanese monster and news comes just weeks after a number of big names have been linked to the lead role including Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Henry Cavill.
However Taylor-Johnson is said to be the front runner but won’t make a final decision until Frank Darabont finishes his re-write of the script. Yet according to reports, his acceptance seems likely.
Godzilla is due to begin production in March 2013 with a scheduled release date of May 16, 2014.
