Nando’s restaurant, known for its flame grilled peri-peri chicken, spreads its wings to Zayed Town as it opens its second eatery in Andalusia Complex 1.
The South African brand that serves up Portuguese-style dishes invites chicken-lovers to join in three days of festivities, starting on Saturday from 5pm- 8pm, which will include a variety of competitions and prizes.
Can you get ‘Jiggy’ with it Gangnam-style? Nando’s is offering a $1,000 grand prize to anyone that can master the popular dance craze that has swept the world by storm featuring Korean recording artist Psy.
Upload your dance video, entitled Gangnam-style dance, to Nando’s Bahrain Facebook fan page. Whoever gets the most ‘liked’ video will get the chance to be a part of the restaurant’s opening activity contest.
More fun comes in the form of an Afro-Portuguese drawing competition and the search for a ‘Hot Chick’ to be Nando’s ambassador. For more information, contact 66338238 or visit wwe.facebook.com/nandosbahrain
Tips on perfecting the dance:
*Get a proper stance, open your legs and bend your knees slightly with your feet planted roughly the same distance apart as your shoulders. Remember, keep it loose. *Start with your right foot. Lift it straight up a little ways off the ground and return it, finishing with a small skip-step backward. To keep your balance you will have to hop a little bit. To perform the skip-step, let your foot hit the ground and bounce back up slightly, kicking it a few inches back rather than popping it. Practice going back and forth from your right to your left foot. *Learn the pattern. This means step and skip once with your leading foot, once with the other foot and then twice more with the leading foot. Don’t forget to end it with Psy’s signature pose.
