High winds and rising sand could not stop Bahraini National Team player Abdulla Al Hakam, pictured right, from sealing a win in the Royal Golf Club’s DHL Order of Merit Series competition for May.
His level par 72 was enough to hold off fellow National Team players Nasser Yacoob and Hamad Mubarak who finished with gross scores of 74 and 75 respectively.
Abdulrahman Shaik captured first place in the men’s nett division with a stunning 3 under nett 69 and Ian Robson took the runners-up spot with a 1 under par nett 71. Sun Kyu Kwak finished third with a nett 72.
In the ladies gross division Deanna Ngo completed yet another win in the DHL series after she shot a gross 86. 2012 Lady Captain Danni Sheppard came second with a gross score of 89 while 2009 Lady Captain Sara Thompson came third.
Karin Lutz took top spot in the ladies nett division with a 1 over par nett 73. Valerie Lim took second place with 78 while Lesley Webb made up the top three on 79.
