The Whisperer

A friend of The Whisperer was in a dash to buy a dinner jacket and was running around Bahrain Mall after a tip-off from Camille that there were bargains to be had in the sale at one of the men’s stores.

As he dashed around trying to find it, he stumbled across a fish stand and a batch of newly-arrived frogs from Hong Kong.

Never one to miss the chance to add to his varied selection of pets, he handed over BD1.500, grabbed the bag containing his cute new friend and breathlessly ran into the clothes shop, hanging his froggy purchase on the clothes rail before trying on some jackets.

The jacket was superb, so he paid and quickly hopped into his car so as not to be late for his evening engagement … minus the frog.

The following day the frog was gone. Did a cleaner take it home, or even a kind-hearted member of staff, or, although skinny, did the next customer along enjoy some fried frog legs for Friday brunch?

However, if you spot someone with a blue frog in their fish tank, ask them where they got it from.
