Dr Rajinder Sachdeva and playing partner Naeem Khan got back to their winning ways at the Royal Golf Club (RGC), claiming top spot in the second week of the Nandos Monday Madness Night Golf Series.
The winning pair returned an impressive 23 points over the 9 holes, enough to hold off three pairs all tied on 22 points. After a countback it was the duo of Graeme Newport and Todd Gillespie who took second place and Paul Carpenter and Mureed Nussier finished in third.
The popular event took place on the club’s Montgomerie championship course and was played in the ‘Vegas Stableford’ format, a betterball competition played from various tee boxes.
RGC’s golf operations manager Cormac Flannery presented the prizes.
“The scores were very tight tonight and it was fun seeing who would finish in the prizes after all the countbacks,” said Flannery. “Well done to Rajinder and Naeem – they played some great golf.”
