MASK (Music And Stage for Kids) is hosting auditions for a show to run next March … with ticking clocks in crocs and a little boy who can fly.
This year the theatre section of the British School of Bahrain's Academy of Performing Arts will present Stiles’ and Drewe’s musical adventure based on J M Barrie's original play Peter Pan.
The Broadway-style musical stars both children and older students and even has some cameo adult roles.
Auditions, costing BD4, start today at the British School of Bahrain for children aged 12 and above. Participants are asked to prepare a short song and a one minute monologue or poem.
Students wishing to be considered for a main role or dancing part should also attend the dancing audition on Saturday, September 21, from 3-4pm.
At the same time on Saturday, children aged eight-12, are invited to audition with a song and a monologue. The dancing audition for the youngsters will take place immediately afterwards. There will be further drama and music auditions between 5-6pm.

The harvest festival of the south Indian state of Kerala and the visit of its folkloric King Mahabali will be marked by a four-day celebration at the Indian Club from today.
The first will feature a traditional flower display contest ‘pookkala malsaram’ with prize money of $1,000 (BD377) on offer and a tug-of-war challenge; September 25 will see the traditional dance contest Thiruvathirakali with prize money of $1,000 on offer as well as Onam games for the whole family.

The Naqsh Short Film Days 2013 (NSFD 2013) teams up with Audi Centre Bahrain for the red carpet launch of a three-day festival in Bahrain on September 26 at 7.30 pm at Seef Mall, Gate 10.
