So the truth is that if you want to lose weight you’ve seriously got to cut down on your consumption of starch. And by starch I mean all that bread, rice and pasta. Oh, and even potatoes and corn.
It’s very difficult to lose weight when you’re piling on starchy foods. These foods enter your body, get quickly digested and converted into sugars and then are turned into fat because your body cannot handle all that sugar running around in the blood.
The result is mood swings, energy slumps and a hefty accumulation of fat, especially around the abdomen.
What’s even worse is if you have starch at night before you go to bed. This makes it more difficult to utilise all the extra calories for energy and they end up being stagnant because you are sleeping; therefore more fat storage.
But why do people find it so difficult to avoid starch? Because it is addictive, as simple as that! You are addicted to the comfort-food element of starchy food and that’s why you keep going for more.
In order to break that cycle, try cutting out all starchy food for two weeks. The first four days will be a bit difficult because of the addiction, but then it will get much easier and the weight will start to come off easily and effortlessly.
Have vegetables instead of rice, have grilled foods instead of sandwiches, have salads and soups instead of bread and pastas. Make your snacks fruits and vegetables sticks instead of biscuits and crackers.
Try it and find out for yourself.
