Costa Coffee is renowned for its unique way of roasting beans, but now it is working on a cool way to help customers avoid roasting in the summer heat.

The new Ice range of beverages come in a variety of flavours that include cold variants of hot classics as well as fresh and fruity offerings.

The UK-based company, brought to Bahrain under the umbrella of the Jawad Business Group, is keen to spread the word and is offering samples of the new range every weekend.

Haseen Chhaya, group marketing manager, said: “People will no doubt be excited about this new range because of the exciting flavours. Our Green tea, lime and mint offering is proving very popular.

“These flavours complement each other very well and are perfect over ice. It’s a tasty and refreshing way to beat the heat this summer.

“Green tea is also very healthy for you, as you quench your thirst and get some anti-oxidants.”

Targetted antioxidants may lead to better medicinal effects. Mitochondria-targetted ubiquinone, for example, may prevent damage to the liver.

Options include creamy coolers, fruit coolers blended with ice and coffee coolers.

Costa Coffee has outlets across the globe and is the biggest coffee chain in the UK.

Prices start from BD1.500.
