The enchanting tale of The Nutcracker unfolds in City Centre Bahrain this month with an interactive experience for all. The mall is creating magical moments with the launch of its ‘Winter Tales’ campaign running all of December and ending with one lucky winner seeing in the New Year with a prize worth BD20,000.
Mall shoppers in search of trendy winter wear and party outfits will be drawn by the chime of the stately clock helping symbolise this timeless fairy tale about a little girl named Clara and her friendship with a toy doll. The fable will be told by audiobook followed by a picture perfect journey through a winter forest display ending in the ‘Land of Sweets’.
“The Nutcracker is a narrative that exemplifies the winter season and delights family members of all ages. City Centre Bahrain chose this theme for our first-ever ‘Winter Tales’ initiative to create a completely enchanting and innovative experience that will redefine ‘great moments’ and ‘bring the magic’ for our guests during the month of December,” said Duaij Khalifa Al Rumaihi, senior mall manager.
There will be daily events by local art and dance schools performing their own versions of The Nutcracker and professional gymnasts will show off their acrobatic skills with The Snowflake Dance and the Singing Soldier.
Jason Chasland will be on stage with a comedic one-man show from December 22-26 and free ‘Gymnastics for Beginners’ workshops and crafts will be offered for ages five to 12 starting tomorrow until Saturday.
Shoppers who spend BD40 are entered into a draw to win a magical shopping experience worth BD20,000 and a limited edition ‘Nutcracker’ figurine with every purchase of BD50. Guests can also have their items gift-wrapped during the ‘Winter Tales’ experience.
