New manager is excited at ‘great opportunity’

Ahmed Zayani & Sons, one of two official distributors of Chrysler Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Mopar in Bahrain, have appointed Zaid I Hamed as general manager.

Mr Hamed, who has a marketing and communications background, brings with him more than 14 years of global automotive experience having worked in the US, Japan and Europe.

“I started my career working with the Chrysler brands before moving on to Nissan, GM and Toyota,” he said. “I’m delighted to be back with Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram, especially at such an exciting time in the development of the brands.

“We have already achieved a 17 per cent year-on-year sales increase, with Dodge proving especially strong – to be able to return to the brands when we have a number of new models in the pipeline, including the highly-anticipated 2015 r, all of which are due to arrive in Bahrain in the first quarter of next year, is a great opportunity.”
