The Bahrain Insurance Association (BIA) will be hosting the sixth annual Gulf Insurance Forum for the first time in the kingdom.
The insurance event will be held under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), and is being organised in co-operation with the Co-ordination Commission for Gulf Insurance & Reinsurance Companies under the theme: 'Developing GCC Insurance Markets & Products'.
The forum will take place at the Gulf Hotel today and tomorrow, and will cover four important industry issues which aim to bolster GCC insurance markets and promote their continued growth and development.
"We would like to thank the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) for supporting this important and prestigious forum; and for the prudence and guidance the CBB has shown amidst global economic turmoil," remarked Ashraf Bseisu, chairman of the Bahrain Insurance Association.
The forum will be attended by professionals from the insurance, financial services sector, market regulators, officials of central banks and monetary agencies, corporations, industry experts, and academics.
