THE mall’s Retailer Awards of the Year were announced at Bahrain City Centre’s (BCC) recent annual general meeting (AGM) hosted at Wahooo! Waterpark under the theme of ‘catch the wave of success’.
More than 150 retailers came together to reflect on the past year, on key successes and challenges overcome, and finally, to present awards for performance.
The evening was hosted by Duaij Khalifa Al Rumaihi, senior manager, and Lori Cunningham, marketing manager for Bahrain City Centre who touched upon some highlights of 2011 which included the opening of more than 20 new stores and the five-star Kempinski Grand & Ixir Hotel Bahrain City Centre, plus community-focused campaigns such as the GulfWeekly-backed ‘Make a Difference this Ramadan’ charity drive and the Think Pink Walkathon for breast cancer awareness.
The BCC AGM concluded with the awards ceremony where 14 retailers were recognised for excellence in sales performance, operational compliance and standards of customer service.
