AWALI Golf club (AGC) has started its 75th anniversary season as it is generally accepted that golf at the current course was ‘in full swing’ by the 1938/39 season.
The Club Stableford competition, which has been running for 21 years, was won by Arunava Banerjee with 42 points. The competition saw score self-entry for the first time, which is an innovation for AGC.
Other prize winners were: 2 Hendrik Wessels - 40 pts; 3 Vidhu Mittal - 39 pts; 4 Peter OBrien - 39 pts; 5 Jo Pawson- 28 pts.
The club membership and prize winners thanked sponsors African & Eastern and facilities provider Bapco.
