Riffa Views International School (RVIS) recently staged the Bahrain Private Schools Sports League (BPSSL) tennis tournament.
The tournament attracted 78 players in both the girls’ and boys’ singles and doubles competitions.
Coaches say the players displayed great sportsmanship throughout. “RVIS would like to thank the AD’s, coaches and players for making this tournament a success,” said the school’s athletic director and PE teacher, Dave Horner.
The winners were:
Junior Girls Singles Champion: Sai Rama Balakrishnan – St Christopher’s School
Junior Girls Doubles Champions: Sai Rama Balakrishnan & Aanya Khan – St Christopher’s School.
Junior Boys Singles Champion: Akshat Gupta – St Christopher’s School
Junior Boys Doubles Champions: Aman Lalwani & Akshat Gupta – St Christopher’s School
Intermediate Girls Singles Champion: Nazley Nader – Al Raja School
Intermediate Boys Singles Champion: Yousef Dhaif – St Christopher’s School
Intermediate Boys Doubles Champions: Mahmood Dhaif & Ali Sharaff – IKNS
Senior Boys Singles Champion: Henry Warrender – St Christopher’s School
Senior Boys Doubles Champions: Aamir Anwa & Frank Li – Bahrain School
