YOU know you have made the ‘A-list’ when famous designers name their creations after you. Take Rosemin Manji, Dubai TV presenter, founder and managing director of a bespoke luxury management firm RR&Co, for example.

She has inspired top brands, including Christian Louboutin, Amanda Navai and Bionda Castana, to design and name their shoes and handbags after her.

Rosemin was in Bahrain recently attending Sak’s Fifth Avenue trend showcase event in City Centre Bahrain and shared styling tips for Spring/Summer 2015.

She said: “I am very much into shirt dresses at the moment because they are so easy to wear and super chic. Denim is really strong and dark denim with big gold buttons not only gives a polished feel but is also ‘super slimming’ for women. The shirt dress is my ‘go-to’ and I am in love with bold colours like red and dark green.”

Rosemin, who has been labelled as one of the Top 20 most influential women in Dubai and is regularly featured in the UAE’s fashion magazine pages for being ‘best dressed’ also admires the ‘blazer over skinny jeans look’. She added: “To look good, you have to know your body shape, know what you are confident and comfortable in, as well as what fits your lifestyle.”

Her timeless advice is one of fashion’s timeless choices. She added: “My capsule wardrobe is definitely the ‘little black dress’ because you can add a belt, a blazer and a statement necklace to mix it up. Pick up a tweed blazer and a good pair of flats that are comfortable.”

Rosemin is not short on experience with a fascinating history in the fashion world. She gained a bachelor’s degree in fashion management from the London College of Fashion, majoring in luxury goods and marketing, and never looked back.

She said: “While everyone was partying, I was getting experience interning at Gucci and l learned more from Tom Ford than I did in university. It was the best thing I ever did.”

Later she was appointed as the European public relations director at Juicy Couture (JC), setting up its first office and showroom outside America. She was also responsible for remaking the image of the brand beyond the typical JC tracksuits. Meanwhile, she worked with high-end magazines and styled well-known personalities, including Queen Rania of Jordan, Hollywood stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet and Sienna Miller, model Kate Moss and singer Madonna.

When Rosemin moved to Dubai in 2007, she set up her own multi-brand showroom featuring samples from Givenchy, Tom Ford and Christian Louboutin. She offered a plethora of services including styling, brand advisory and niche events as well as working directly with Hermes, Prada, Chanel and Roger Vivier on special projects.

One of her proudest moments was bringing Tom Ford to the Middle East and launching his store by hosting a dinner and cocktail party in his honour.

She said: “Having someone trust me like that, someone I mentored was truly a surreal moment. I literally had to pinch myself. This was my tipping point. I learned everything from this man and I gave back to him by showing him the best of Dubai in 24 hours. I was so proud.”

This month she will be holding a ladies lunch for fashion designer Angela Missoni hoping to add another big name to her list of clients.
