Motorcity, the exclusive distributors of Hino Motors in Bahrain, recently launched its first-ever light duty automatic transmission truck in the kingdom during a special training programme for prospective buyers.
The 300 series single cab and double cab as well as the 700 series prime mover trucks were made available for testing at the event held at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir.
The 300 series features a standard Euro 3 engine and automatic transmission and has a gross vehicle weight between 4.5 and 8.5 tonnes. The powerful 700 series is suitable for various applications such as tankers, crane and cargo body configurations, refuse compactors, dump trucks and trailers offering a hauling capacity of 80 tonnes.
Arun Kumar Ganesh, assistant general manager of Motorcity commercial vehicles, said: “We are excited to bring these trucks to Bahrain, as the first-ever automatic transmission vehicles of this kind on the island.
“As always, we used continuous product training as a launch initiative as we believe this has assisted to improve driver product and feature knowledge as well as safe driving techniques which result in lower maintenance and down-time hours.”
