Gulf Weekly Scramble for success

The trio of Jeong Hae Kwak, Hilde Kwik and Julie Dixon won the February competition of the Royal Golf Club’s Ladies Charity Scramble, sponsored by the Sheraton Bahrain Hotel, with a nett score of 58.8.

Nearest the pin side contests on holes 7 and 12 were won by Julie Dixon and Dena Wales, respectively, while a Straightest Drive contest on hole 8 was won by Noelle Casey and a nearest the pin in two shots side contest on hole 10 was won by Melissa Ford.

The monthly Texas Scramble competitions are proving popular with Bahrain’s female golfers and feature great prizes sponsored by the Sheraton Bahrain Hotel. Money raised at the events is being donated to Ladies Captain Karin Lutz’s chosen charity, The Palm Association.

Ladies only golf competitions are held at the club every Monday and Wednesday at 8.30am and are open to both members and visitors. For more information, contact the golf events department on email golfevents@theroyalgolfclub.com.
