A range of new digital devices tailored to keep loved ones safe and secure have been unveiled by one of the kingdom’s leading telecom operators.
Customers will now be able to monitor their homes, cars, children and health through their mobiles and the ‘VIVA Connected Life’ collection.
During Monday’s launch event, held inside a luxury villa at the Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain, the VIVA Bahrain team demonstrated the offerings to members of the media.
Andrew Hanna, VIVA Bahrain chief commercial officer, said: “We wanted to introduce a whole new modern lifestyle to Bahrain that maximises comfort, flexibility and connectivity in today’s fast-paced world.
“To do so, we handpicked the best devices from pioneers across the world to connect the primary corners of an individual’s life under one unified network. Your home, car, children and health are now only a touch away with VIVA Connected Life and we look forward to including more devices in the near future.”
The smart series includes the Canary ‘all-in-one’ home security system and Netatmo home automation camera with face recognition. There is also a Bluetooth-enabled door lock called the Schlage Sense Smart Deadbolt and the Phillips Hue wireless lighting system.
Residents can cool and heat their homes through a Wi-Fi ecobee3 thermostat. Cars can be monitored through Vinli, a device that plugs into the car’s On-Board Diagnostics port to offer Wi-Fi, crash detection and roadside assistance.
Parents can also track and contact their children through a portable Malak-e Watch and adults can check their blood pressure, cholesterol and blood glucose among other things through the VIVA Mobile Health devices. VIVA Bahrain has partnered up with King Hamad University Hospital and iHealth to introduce these gadgets.
New and existing broadband customers can add the devices with instalment plans starting from BD5. For more information visit www.viva.com.bh
