Majid Al Futtaim, owners of City Centre Bahrain, has launched a charity campaign in order to provide ‘great moments for children in need’ during the festive season.
Special donation boxes have been placed in convenient locations in the mall, and sister operations across the region.
Majid Al Futtaim has partnered with a group of the leading NGOs to directly engage with unprivileged children, aged between three and nine. They would love stuffed toys, LEGO, books and sporting goods to make their festive wishes come true, research found.
Alain Bejjani, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim said: “This year, we are asking all visitors to our shopping malls to take justa moment of their time to buy and donate something that will create a special festive memory for a child less fortunate.”
Mall employees will gift wrap the presents before distribution. The campaign follows the continuing success of the mall group’s Ramadan campaign, and in the kingdom will once again partner with the Bahrain Society for Children with behavioural and communication difficulties.
Along with the collection drive, Najm card customers can donate cash, Carrefour customers will be asked if they’re willing to donate their shopping change, and visitors to Magic Planet can donate tickets.
