October has gone as fast as it had come, but cooler weather is finally here! The rain showers have brought with them a pleasant breeze, not to mention, a couple of unfortunate pools here and there.
There is just the perfect amount of sun coming in through the clouds, clouds that seem to be absent for most of the year, so that the weather is nice and not at all gloomy. Bahrain has been transformed and it’s lovely at night with the sound of rain to fall asleep to.
Since all we ever get is sun and heat, even the darkest of weathers is a welcome change, at least for me.
It is no longer a tedious task walking during the day, ending up properly drenched in sweat so that any preparations taken to nicely present yourself end up a futile exercise.
Treks outside can now be fully enjoyed, even more so, if you generally like walking. You can now take some of your work outside, spend time in nature for a change, under the blue sky and amongst the few trees.
Bahrain would be the perfect place to be in if it weren’t for the horridly hot summer months. I say that’s what makes travel even more charming, and necessary dare I say, the chance to escape what seems to be the everlasting scorch of the island.
When friends living abroad start to complain of freezing temperatures and slippery snow, I will become so very envious having never experienced a ‘proper’ winter! Still, any excuse to bring out them winter woolies is appreciated.
