A GERMAN motor-biking vlogger who loves travelling and learning about different cultures is now making his way through the Middle East, having recently visited Bahrain, which he once adored from afar, writes Mai Al-Khatib Camille.

Abrar Hasan, a 35-year-old of Pakistani origin, started biking in June 2020, riding his BMW G310GS from Germany to Pakistan. He then took a break during the pandemic and hopped back on his motorcycle in 2022 to explore Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and Bahrain.

“I have a lot of viewers on my YouTube channel and Instagram from Bahrain and they have always talked about how incredible this country is and why I should visit,” said the travel vlogger who has more than 156,000 followers on Instagram.

“I’m happy that I managed to spend a few days here before zipping off on to my next destination and being able to see the beautiful island and receiving the hospitality of the locals.”

What he enjoys most is witnessing the different cultures and seeing the change in lifestyles as soon as he crosses one border to the next. Little did he know that getting a licence in 2019 would result in him living out his dreams of travelling the world on his newfound hobby.

In his YouTube videos, viewers can watch him enjoy different adventures - whether camping or exploring nature, mingling with people and tribes or being immersed in culture and celebratory occasions. Once he is done with the Middle East, he plans to ride through Africa and Central Asia.
