The German fashion mogul has designed an updated country-style collection, titled Space Cowboy, inspired by the Wild West era. It combines distinct colour palettes with fabrics of denim, beige and black suedes as well as leather mixed with patent and silk. He unveiled his shiny-studded collection in New York Fashion Week with an intimate black-tie event at The Grill, Manhattan. During the show, models dressed in neon colours, metallic, fringe, stones and prints, walked the runway to the sounds of Kraftwerk and Rammstein.
The collection included sharp suiting, tailored satin-lapelled jackets decorated in large zebra and leopard prints, and camouflage patterns in green, beige and blue.
Ladies adorned print neon-lined overcoats or studded biker jackets with long fringing. Daytime outerwear consisted of camel overcoats and trenches with traditional or fluoro tartan detailing. The women’s eveningwear brought extra drama to the scene with floor-length gowns in reflective silver or covered in shimmering sequins.
The iconic cowboy boot was central with souped-up versions in patents and neons, decorated with fringing and studs. For evenings, there are over-the-knee editions for added impact. Oversized buckle belts appear throughout, some multi-layered for maximum, punkish effect. And for a perfect finishing touch, large metal eagle bolo ties.
The line also features an assortment of saddle bags and Swarovski patches.
