Fantasy mystery novel What the Water Remembers by former Bahrain resident Elyse Welles has hit the shelves.
On the brink of closing a deal on their new home in Newsport, Pennsylvania, modern witch Kendra Hill and her husband George encounter a spiteful male ghost in unexpected ways.
However, in the face of a difficult house market and confidence in Kendra’s witchy abilities, they move in, only for her to realise that she must now uncover connections between three ghosts.
“My debut novel is a paranormal mystery inspired by real hauntings and sacred intuition,” the British School of Bahain and St Christopher’s School alumna said.
“I am a lover of the macabre and darkness, so although this book has some jump scares and spooky imagery, I find it to be mostly a comfort read,” added the author and podcaster, who is presently based between Athens, Greece and Pennsylvania.
