Grammy-winning singer Billie Eilish’s concert film Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour Live in 3D is now in theatres.
Produced by the musician alongside Titanic director James Cameron, the movie features performances from her seventh headlining concert tour, Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (2025), at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester, England.
The film also shines a light on the 24-year-old artist’s dedicated fans, who are interviewed in the film and share stories of songs they resonate with and Billie’s impact on their lives.
“What Was I Made For? was such an intimate little window into my feelings,” Billie said in an interview, referencing her Grammy-winning track for the 2023 Barbie film.
“And in my head, I feel like, ‘Oh my God, I’m the only person who feels this way’. And when you’re in a room with thousands of people singing the lyrics that you wrote alone about something specific to you and have their entire own relationship to it, it’s the most magical thing in the world. So I make art and music to reach people, to help people,” she added.
Commenting on the the bond that fans share with the singer, James said: “Setting aside the quality of the songwriting, the emotionality and all – for her fans, it’s the fact that they grew up together. They’ve been through the teenage wars, and she was there for them. They watched her go through things, and they watched her turn it into art.”
The tour is titled after the singer’s universally acclaimed 2024 studio album.
At the 2025 Grammy Awards, the album and its songs received a total of seven nominations, including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.
During this year’s ceremony, Wildflower off the ensemble won Song of the Year.
