IT came as quite a surprise that one of the organisers of the expat gathering at the royal palace last week didn’t show up for the event.
DRIVING home last week with my family I saw two teenage boys kicking a puppy in the head. We stopped and asked them if we could take the puppy home not mentioning to them that we had seen them hurt her.
Perhaps realising that we had seen them, perhaps out of shame or guilt, they gave her up quite willingly and then produced another puppy, smaller than the first one, and asked us if we wanted to take her too.
