As the autumn leaves change colour so do the interiors of many homes and THE One furniture retailer has unveiled an inspirational seasonal collection to help it all fall into place.

The brand’s Autumn/Winter offering features four new style concepts, from edgy rocker to classical chic, making sure that there is something for everyone.
Glamorama, MonoMania, Tropical Punch and Timeless Elegance are being showcased in its Bahrain store, which the company aptly refers to as ‘a theatre’.

Marthine Mellem, THE One’s head office decorator, said: “The launch of our new collection couldn’t have come at a better time as it’s around August and October when people start making-over their homes.

“It’s usually after people have been indoors for the whole summer that they want something new. Our Autumn/Winter collection is a beautiful change to what we had previously as it’s fresher, lighter and allows shoppers to mix and match items from the different concepts.

“Also the difference in the four style groups changes the look of the whole store making it an adventure to walk through.

“The designers start a year before on the concept and building the look of the store. We don’t necessarily follow normal trends. We create our own trends and showcase them to inspire our customers.”

The Galmorama style is influenced by Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli combining dramatic metallics, velvet textures, dark-bold colours, mirrors, animal prints and furs for a rock ’n’ roll look.

According to THE One designers,  the keys to creating this exclusive glamorous look is using clean lines with rich accessorising and finding the right balance between materials, prints and textures.

Marthine said: “Glamorama is very luxurious with gold, black and mirrored pieces. It’s a style that is over the top and that is what we were going for. For those that feel it’s too rocker and edgy, the pieces can be mixed in with simpler looks as well.

“For example, if you throw an animal print blanket over a plain black sofa it changes the look and mood of your living room.

“This has been one of the looks we wanted to do for a long time because it’s very much how THE One was before, very dramatic and luxurious.”

Mirrored frames and tables, modern furniture combined with a mixture of prints and textures make-up the MonoMania concept. Black, white and grey are the key colours for this look, tied together by different textured cushions, throws and art pieces that can be mixed and matched to fit any room. This style group showcases how important accessorising is.

“Unlike Glamorama, MonoMania is all about keeping it clean while also mixing patterns and textures whether through wall paper, cushions or rugs,” said Marthine. “It’s also a bit more masculine compared to other style groups.”

Tropical Punch brings the outdoors in with its wooden dining table, crisp clean sofa set and lush green floral patterns. THE One designers’ wanted to recreate the Caribbean ambience in the boudoir by adding a wooden ladder in the bedroom, a beige cushioned bed with an ottoman that doubles up as a trunk to match combined with leafy patterned pillows to break-up the colour.

Marthine explained: “The light fabrics, natural dark wood, colourful accessories and flowers break up the white and makes it more tropical. Before we were into shabby chic but now it’s more modern in terms of lines and pieces of furniture. It’s a good change and also contrasts well to the other styles.”

In Timeless Elegance, the entire room includes cream coloured sofas, bed and dining with pops of light colour to bring everything together. According to Marthine, the style, which is a mixture of contemporary and classic, is soft, luxurious and lush in terms of layering, textures and fabrics.

The retailer is also located in eight countries across the Middle East including Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, Tunisia, the UAE. It can be found in Bahrain at Al Aali Shopping Complex.
